In September 2026, EV Fenix welcomed seven representatives from CarStudio’s technical team, part of the MOBIVIA group, to its workshop in Jevnaker, Norway. The visit brought specialists together for practical demonstrations and an exchange of experience in high-voltage battery diagnostics, assessment and repair.

A central topic was how measurements and systematic fault-finding can provide a stronger basis for assessing repair against replacement. EV Fenix presented its working methodology and in-house software supporting battery diagnostics and technical assessment.

The session followed a connected process: diagnosis, assessment based on measured evidence, targeted repair and post-repair testing. The aim is to understand the fault and select an appropriate response based on the battery’s actual condition.

The delegation saw practical demonstrations and examples of work at module and cell level. Discussions covered high-voltage battery fault-finding, the opportunities and limitations of targeted repairs, and how testing can be used to check the outcome.

EV Fenix also demonstrated how its own diagnostic and assessment tools support workshop activities. The presentation focused on the working process and practical application.

The visit provided an opportunity to discuss continued battery use, service-life extension and repair economics. One important question was when repair can be an appropriate alternative to replacing the complete battery.

Each battery requires an individual assessment. Its condition, the type of fault and the ability to validate the repair are central to that decision.

The demonstrations were followed by extensive technical questions and discussions about challenges in battery repair and possible areas for further knowledge exchange.
